Like many, I started keeping fish as a kid. Unfortunately, like many parents, mine pulled the plug after a few too many dead fish. Years later, I returned to the hobby with fresh eyes and the same passion. But what I found was disappointing—poor-quality stock, sick fish, and big-box stores that didn’t medicate, quarantine, or care.

That’s why I started The Guppy Father.

I believe high-quality, healthy fish should be the standard—not the exception. Every fish I sell is bred and raised by me, right here in the Finger Lakes region of New York. No wholesalers. No mass-produced livestock. Just clean, vibrant, hardy fish that are well-fed, well-loved, and ready to thrive.

From stunning guppies to colorful Endlers, mollies, platies, and swordtails I’ve curated a selection for hobbyists who care about quality, ethics, and sustainability. I go to great lengths to medicate, quarantine, and breed only the strongest stock to help you succeed—and stay—in the hobby.
